Wakey Wakey!!! Time for our breakfast to kick off the furious shopping …

Seems she didn’t understand his instructions, so he just grabbed the spatula and started cooking it himself while she watched on

Shirley’s smiling now…. she has no clue what she’s in for

Darn… I miss A&W back home … stupid bear’s taking liberties with my girl

Platinum Mall… this shop is selling tees… have seen many of them being sold in Singapore … Shirley spent half an hour here

Aly amusing herself while waiting for Shirley … doesn’t she look like from one of those scenes on tv where you’re looking up at her from a pet’s (usually dog) perspective…

I still miss the ones they served up at Sai Yok camp back during my NS days… NOT that I wanna go back there again though

Where we had our meal… at the food court at Platinum Mall…
I hate the stupid card system… total waste of time…
Guess it’s convenient for the tenants? More hygenic for the food stalls perhaps? Oh well…

Next stop … Japanese food …
We had a disastrous meal last year … So went back home and asked Pat which was the correct place to go to… and he told me it was called Fuji …
So we took a train to Siam Station (Paragon) before walking to MBK to hunt for Fuji…
Only to realise upon spotting the place that they’ve got a branch at Paragon (walked for nothing… haiz)

Fuji Japanese Restaurant …

Ordered our drinks first as suggested by the waitress…
My Green Tea Latte ….

Beside the girls’ green tea served in those big metal flasks …. My order’s damn “huge” lor

Time to pig out …

Hahahaa…. Shirley thinks she’s allergic to scallops …. so she can only drool at the ones we ordered

Scallops with garlic bits … Shirley ate some of the garlic bits and then complained the next day that she was starting to itch …. Er…. okay….

Garlic fried rice…. one small bowl for all of us to share Just to try out

Various dipping sauces… I liked the greenish one… no idea what’s in it though… Anyone know?

It was overcooked…. very tough… sheesh …

Tempura…. jialat only… the girls don’t eat ladies fingers… eggplant… it was all up to me

Sushi boats are expensive everywhere you go… except in Bangkok lol
So we took the chance to order our very first boat

and what’s that I see? Crab sticks?!!! Wah… that is so wrong… to me anyway … and especially on a sushi boat
another thing to add…. one of the salmon sashimi slices I tucked into… had a bone in it…
YES… a freaking BONE…. first bone in my salmon sashimi in my entire life …
I think you get stoned to death if you commit this culinary sin back in Japan

Shirley wanted this … Fried udon …. so so … too much udon… too little ingredients …
That about sums about our meal at Fuji… sorry folks….
For all of you who told me that Jap food is cheap and good here….
Well… cheap I must admit … good … well…. I don’t think I’ll have jap food here the next time round …
No more jap food in Bangkok for me!!!

Headed to this shop to buy some food stuff back …. grabbed some “dog shit” (Pork floss in the shape of little pieces that resemble dog poo )…. coconut sweets, satay sticks, preserved mango slices, etc.

What the heck is this? Ewwweeee…. looks gross….

Back to Paragon from MBK … got my fix of Thai Iced Tea …

Finally!!! I miss this so much!!!

Aly tried the Pink Iced Tea…. gross… tasted like sour plum juice to me… which I do NOT like one bit

Shirley was captivated by these Swan Eclairs …. so she bought some back to the hotel …

As for me….

I didn’t try the new Shrimp burger….

Nor the succumbed to the temptation of the Double Big Mac (which only costs 132baht for a meal! – About SGD$5.80)
(4 beef patties for supper… too much lah )

I opted for my Samurai Pork Burger instead …. wah… miss this so much as well End of Day 02 … time to get some rest!
