Our last day in Bangkok :((

Will I miss the breakfast here? :P

Last day… must be a good boy…. so I grabbed some salad :P

Took the train….

If only the train stations in Singapore were this empty… I would gladly switch to public transport :P

On Nut … where are the nuts? Okay… sorry… corny… I know … :P

Guess where we are!

Darn it … damn place got nothing for me except a few shirts!!! They didn’t have jeans for my size!!! Everything here is for waist size 29 and below :((
I asked the salesgirl… she told me to come back next week :-s Wah lau … :(

We perspired and panted like crazy just to search for this place :P
The girls were happy… they managed to get some pants and jeans …
I only got 2 shirts …sheesh … :(

Small sign on the outside… don’t miss it :D

Again… more walking in the hot sun…. walked past this petrol kiosk with a cafe inside… reminds me of Malaysia… I guess you don’t have cafes in petrol kiosks back home as there are hawker centres everywhere? :P

MTM!!! Wow… cool…. Wonder if they have anything for my lousy car :P

A whole building by MTM… Think you can only get MTM products at Premium Motors (Audi authorised dealer) back home?

Tom Yam car …. the new 2008 Altis! ;) Looks so much like a mini Camry …
Did I mention that the ride from the airport to the hotel when we arrived was in a Camry?
The boot was large enough to stuff all 3 of our large suitcases plus the ride was super comfy and stable at high speeds (no modifications of ‘cos :P )
Goodness… I’m becoming an uncle already… I think I want a Camry!!! :P

The girls wondering if this is the place we were looking for :P

Is this it? :P

Looks like it and in they went….

All that walking just for MACS?!!! #-o

Hmm… should I even be blogging about this? *Hush …. shhhh …. I’m not telling anyone :-$ :-$ :-$ :P :))

The place was really dead… maybe because it’s a Monday … hmm…

Hot and sweaty once again… but we had to grab some lunch… so we went into MK …
Check out the menu… I applaud their honesty :P Imitation Crab… finally!!! Someone admits! :P

Spinach noodles with stewed beef for me … we didn’t eat steamboat…. as we were already hot enough lol :P

Portion was super tiny… Hey… I didn’t order the kid’s meal! :-s
Thankfully the beef was tender :)

Free water… didn’t know what it was though… but who cares… we were hot and thirsty :P

Shirley’s noodles with some roasted pork and wanton

Some dipping sauce… don’t ask me what it is lol :P

Shrimp Siew Mai …

Some spring rolls….

Erm… Har gao?

Aly’s chicken drumstick rice…. man… her’s was the biggest portion… should’ve ordered that instead :P

MK Steamboat tissue dispenser :P

Some ice cream for Aly…

My red ruby dessert….
When it arrived… I went… what the?! …. Only 2 pieces?! :O

Okay… no need to panic… the rest of the chestnut bits were below…

and surprise surprise for me… bits of coconut flesh as well … this is the best red ruby dessert I’ve had EVER.
The starchy part around the chestnuts were thin… and the chestnuts inside were big and crunchy… unlike those back home …small pieces of chestnut covered in a thick layer of starch …
The coconut milk was rich and aromatic and the best thing were the added bits of coconut flesh…. lovely… ;)

After our meal… we proceeded to the reason for our long journey here :D

Aly bought a shirt only… I blew SGD200 here :P
Shirley bought nearly SGD200 worth of stuff here too …. :D
Finally! I was happy …. I had changed so much money to buy lots and lots of football jerseys at Chatuchuk only for them to NOT have ANY for my size… sigh…
Which is why I went crazy here lol :P

Back to the hotel… waiting for our “limousine” to take us to the airport after a shower at the hotel’s health club

All fresh and ready to go home?

Here’s our limousine lol … A really old Volvo 940 … and it was a manual transmission car :P
Good thing – Managed to squeeze in 3 large suitcases in the boot
Bad thing I – Shirley jumped when she said there was something crawling near her in the car :))
Bad thing II – As the car was a manual one, erm… the guy driving wasn’t good at shifting gears! Had a really jerky ride to the airport :-s

Some altar thingy once you enter the transit area of the airport :)

Time to grab some dinner before heading home… ended up at the same place as last year…
Ya ya… call us boring … :P

We won’t be seeing these 4 condiments for some time….

More spring rolls!

My last thai iced tea in Thailand :(

Pork neck meat :D

Aly’s fried noodles…

Nuts… eeeks! … Bean sprouts… and a net of egg…

Looks like some birthday thingy with that spring onion sticking out :-s

Chicken in coconut sauce…

This was tasty… I just wish they used chicken parts instead of chicken breast though …

Thai green curry… thick and flavorful…

Tom Yam Goong… this was thick and nice… and best part was… it wasn’t spicy at all… Aly could finally drink the soup! :D

Shirley’s fried rice….

Aly ordered some cut fruits….

Presentation was good…fruits weren’t so yummy thought :-s

Glad to be going home? I need some proper japanese food :P

My baby :X :*

My other baby :)) and again guys…for the last time…. there wasn’t any threesome that took place :))

So Shirley… had fun? :P

Hi, can you tell me how do you go to the Levi’s & Adidas factory outlets? Are they worth going?

I don’t really know how to explain … as it’s quite complicated…
We got off at Onnut Mrt Station and headed towards Levis @ 99 Sukhumvit… Adidas is further down Levi’s.

We managed to get there by following a map that we bought, I would advise you to purchase the same map as it’s quite informative..

It’s called Nancy Chandler’s Map of Bangkok
You can buy it online @ http://www.nancychandler.net/

Worth going? Not really… as it was too far a walk, my advise is to take a cab there.

The Levi’s outlet had nothing for me … but I did managed to get some tees at Adidas though, but they’re all last season if you don’t mind :)
