Hong Kong 2009 Day 02

Day 02 in Hong Kong. The plan was to grab a quick lunch before heading to Telford Plaza.

We walked around the area near where we were staying looking for some place to eat and then ended up at the same place we had lunch on our previous 2 visits (ya… we’re boring lol… anyway Aud hasn’t been here before )

All sorts of stuff on the table… toothpicks… pepper… chiili sauce… chilli oil… pepper… soy sauce… etc.

I had iced milk tea while Aly had hot lemon tea. Aud had iced lemon tea. Nothing beats the iced milk/lemon teas in Hong Kong

Aly wanted a side dish of vegetables… we only had a few to choose from. It was either lettuce or tung choi or kai lan. She chose lettuce, which I’m not a big fan of Oh well….

Aud had beef ball hor fun…. didn’t know how it tasted… no feedback from him either… but no complaints from him…

Wantons…. not dumplings… Wantons of this size would be called Shui Gao in Singapore … what a con

Hmm… I wonder what’s the size of the shui gao here then… or they don’t have shui gao in HK?

We hit one of the street food shops at Tsim Tsa Tsui….
First up…. sausages!

One of my faves…. Double deep fried intestines

Curry fish balls…. a must have as well!

and for me again…. intestines with tripe…. HEAVENLY

Darn it… there were lots more which I wanted to order…. but was afraid of overeating

What’s with the queue? What’s this place?

NYF… hmm… the woman in the queue doesn’t look too happy

New York Fries…..

Basically just fries with various toppings… and such a hit …. Wonder why the fries shop at Bugis Junction back home seems so quiet all the time…. Singaporeans not as crazy over fries as the locals here?

Besides the beef brisket, there’s also some melon thingy and some bean curd skin…

Trying not to look too sad about my poor choice of meals again as usual… darn it… should’ve ordered the western ones like they did :’(

Oh well… at least I have a BIG bowl of rice?

Got a cup of free chinese tea with the meal as well

Back on the streets…. took a pic of the parking meter… cool… no such thing in Singapore

Was tempted to buy some ice cream… but the weather was already so cold  

Aud bought 2 pairs of shoes here….

Don’t know if he got conned or not…. lol….
Next time ask properly lah!

He thought the price on the tag was before discount….Only found  it was already discounted after payment…

Bought some supper from Macs

I’ve been craving for some ice cold coke
Finally got it …with Softhard cartoons on it somemore

The meal came with curly fries….

Pork burger!!! When I saw it on the menu… I knew I die die had to try it

Okay… I know it looks damn disgusting lol
It’s pork patty drizzled with black pepper sauce and some onions

Looks gross!!!

But tastes awesome!!!
Man…. I wish they had pork burgers in Singapore
