Osaka Street @ Jurong Point

Read in the newspapers about how they turned part of the basement at Jurong Point into what they call Osaka Street, with about 6 different restaurants churning out japanese food (mostly managed by the RE&S Group)

After walking around Dempsey, we decided to check the Osaka Street out and see if we could get any dinner

So here we are at Jurong Point Shokutsu10 Osaka Street
Wonder if the crabs they serve are as big

Kuriya Fish Market…. Quick run… we’re being attacked by a giant octopus!!!

There’s Kushin-Bo buffet restaurant here as well…

What’s with all the giant food

I think kitty would love the giant piece of salmon

Place is really packed…
We decided to join the queue at this place… as it had the shortest queue… with only about 10 … just TEN people ahead of us *faint*
Can you imagine how long the rest of the queues at other places were

Other than … er… Tori Q
Not that their stuff is bad… guess more folks just prefer to dine at a restaurant instead….
Then again, there are tables and seats at Tori Q at this outlet…
But Aly and I decided to brave the queue since we weren’t that hungry anyway

So here I am waiting in the queue with nothing much to do… so I started taking pics

Damn crowded

Finally… by the time we got a table, it was already 8pm+

Salad… part of the set we ordered….  so we got 2 portions since we ordered 2 sets

Garlic rice…. or was it tamago rice? Both looked the same
We had 1 of each
Garlic wasn’t very strong…. well… not as strong (or much) as we would’ve preferred

Teppanyaki tofu….

Ordered a chawanmushi… it didn’t come in a small bowl or something… instead, it;s cooked in half an onion… interesting eh?

Aly’s Chicken Set (SGD14.90)
Teppanyaki chicken served on a slice of bread with some bean sprouts

My Beef Sirloin Set (SGD19.90) Looks about the same as Aly’s chicken eh?

We ordered a scallop pizza (Hotate Okonomiyaki) (SGD12.90)

Lots of cabbage… 3 miserable pieces of really small scallops
