We also went for the Royal Sporting House and G2000 warehouse sale nearby at the Kallang Basin area before breaking for lunch.

Ended up at Sin Fong Restaurant …. note that it’s a coffeeshop although it’s called a restaurant lol
China apple drink anyone?

We ordered a set thingy for 3 …
Fried intestines! Hard to find this dish around… love it! Although it’s kinda unhealthy

Slices of duck meat… could’ve been more

A mixed plate of duck inards… and some fish cakes and pineapple

Served with brown rice…

The whole lot… for $40 for 3 … coffeeshop at restaurant prices?

There are some other shops selling noodles and stuff… but majority of the folks are here for the duck

Charles and Keith Warehouse Sale

Started the day off in the morning ferrying Aly and her sis to the Charles and Keith Warehouse sale tucked away somewhere at Ubi/Kaki Bukit area.

We arrived at 930am and there was already a long queue

Good thing we arrived that early as well as the place soon become chaotic and there wasn’t a place to park by 10am

Anyway, waited for the 2 ladies to finish their rounds…

It was driven by a girl … see the big space? She took ages to parallel park in that huge space …

Was around the area as Aly had just gone to her tailor to alter some clothes…
So we decided to have curry rice for lunch

Kong Bah!!! Meat!!! Yummy!!! Not too salty… nice!

Hor Pao Dan! With dark soy sauce dribbled over …

Pork chop!
I always wondered why they called this pork chop… where’s the pork?!
Crispy though… and no floury texture overdosage

Cabbage… a must have for Aly

Lots of curry gravy… and not too spicy as well

A nice hearty meal at cheap cheap cheap price!!!
Won’t let you know how cheap (‘cos I forgot lol)

Had dinner at Pasta De Waraku again … had cravings for Tomato cream sauce

Baby with the giant menu

Iced Coffee for me! ($2.80)

Only added abit of syrup… didn’t feel like having milk coffee today

I had Chicken and mushroom spaghetti in tomato cream sauce ($12.80)

Can’t take too much tomato sauce these days due to the weak stomach…
Tomato cream is just nice… not too creamy… and not too much acidity from the tomato to attack my stomach

Aly had Beef and Vegetables in mee pok …. er… I mean fettuccine ($14.80)

Could’ve had more beef thrown in I reckon!

Carbonara Pizza! ($10.80)

Basically bacon and egg pizza

Find that the portion has shrunk for the pasta
The pizza size wasn’t that big for the price as well. (Total bill $48.49)
Think I would rather go back to The Pasta Shop at Tiong Bahru for a bigger portion.
Aly prefers the food here though saying the quality is still top notch

…… Finally! After waiting for hours for the product to arrive at Tecdrom (and months for the game to be released) … I got my hands on my favorite game!

Aly was on leave today … so we spent some time walking around Suntec before stopping for a bite at Bakerzin

Aly ordered a mix and match of some dessert tapas and ice cream

Rum & raisin ice cream… not much into this one… Aly eats rum & raisin ice cream alot though

Vanilla crème brulee
Too bad Kelly isn’t here

Coupe cheesecake
This was not bad … very cheesy

Chocolate & caramel ice cream with hazelnut rice crispies
This was pretty nice as well…. rice crispies reminded me of primary school days

Banana pizza with cinnamon ice cream
I enjoyed this one the most… yummy bananas

Had a glass of hazelnut coffee blend to try to stay awake

Kitty was very happy … what is women and desserts?

Went to Seafood Kitchen with Aly and Shirley.
It was Shirley’s long overdue birthday treat

Coffee pork ribs!

Sticky gooey yummy! Hope I can sleep tonight

Brocolli … portion was damn small

What Shirley is here for … crabs!

Chilli crabs … sticky gooey yummy again!!!

Man tou to eat with the chilli crab gravy

We tried their Creamy Crab (which is butter crab in chinese on the menu)

Shirley preferred the creamy crab to the chilli crab… I prefer the chilli crab…
This one was just too sticky and gooey and…. SWEET!!!

Shirley! You got little girl’s taste buds!!! So sweet!!!

Thanks to you I got a free meal from Aly as well

We were at Wheelock Place just checking out some stuff … and then we walked past this place.
No queue!!! Dinner time!!!
We didn’t have to think twice… I hate queueing up to eat

It’s our first time dining at this chain…. think they have another outlet at The Central

Place is pretty warm and cosy …. but for those who like to be able to see what they’re eating, this place ain’t for you

I can only peek at the other parts of the restaurant… you can’t see the entire place as it seems to be divided into several sections.

Rainbow Roll ($13.80)
Basically crab and mango sushi with avacado as well. Not too bad. Looks colourful lol… what can I say?

Saketoro Yuba Maki ($12.80)
Salmon and salmon eggs…. I really don’t like fish eggs… they’re so fishy…. eeeks…. only took the rolls… Aly gobbled the rest up

Some cheesy brocolli thingy with potatoes…. too darn rich and creamy…. very filling!

White rice ($2) Bloody hell… hong kong prices for plain rice… 2 friggin’ bucks

Had a hard time trying to eat with the stupid spoon which was so oddly shaped at the mouth…. too narrow!!!

Some yam thingy …. A total rip off to me… ‘cos it’s so darn small!!!! and wasn’t very tasty for me

Scary thing! At our section, every other table had a kid (except for our table of ‘cos… unless you consider Kitty to be a really big kid )
A total of 4 kids (the table at the right of the photo (clipped off) also had a baby toddler)

I like this place… really nice and cosy…service was commendable and the food was pretty good.

If only it wasn’t so expensive… I’m a poor man! Total bill was $79.70

Mao Dinner with Mew on a lazy Sunday night……

After Chin Mei Chin … we actually went back home and took a nap lol….

After which we headed to cold storage at Great World City and bought some stuff home to cook…

Bought some dou miao… this was terrible!!! Simply old and unchewable….

I whipped up some cod fish after slicing it up and steamed them in some seafood soy sauce with some spring onions (much to mew’s displeasure ‘cos she doesn’t eat spring onions )

Steamed egg with preserved and salted egg bits…
This was not good as the salted eggs weren’t very fresh… plus I didn’t dilute the eggs enough, so it turned out pretty dry and not smooth enough from what you can see
