Pat’s birthday!!! Well… actually not… it was yesterday
But he wasn’t free… so we’re “celebrating” today instead with dinner at Botak Jones @ Depot Road

The place was quite empty when we got there…. thank goodness… not as crazy as the one at Clementi

We got some spicy fries ($3.50) to share…. wasn’t all that spicy though … thankfully

Caesar Salad with cajun chicken breast ($9) to share as well …. chicken meat was tender… pretty good…
I didn’t think they would’ve been able to do it with a piece of chicken breast… I was expecting it to be dry and rough
Veggies weren’t spectacular though… then again… how super am I expecting the veggies to be

Pat’s Botak burger ($6)… he didn’t enjoy it much…. dry and overcooked…

I had fish and chips ($6.50) … was pretty satisfied… the fries were an overkill though, we shouldn’t have ordered that bowl of fries to share

Fish was crispy and the meat wasn’t fishy thank goodness. If only the fish meat was thicker though… I found it too thin …

Audrey had a fish burger ($6)… the fish looked the same as mine … just that hers was with bread, mine was with fries lol

This brother has been eyeing the couple’s dogs for a long long time …

Went to JB today with Aly, Tong & Kelly, Jack & Angela and Pat & Audrey.

We went in early around 10am and drove to Jusco at Permas Jeya for brunch. Pat then brought me to a bodykit shop nearby to take a look and fix his fog lamps as well.

Saw several bodykits there to choose from, the boss recommended me to come back again next week to look at the Skyline GTR34 bumper instead

We then headed back to Jusco to join up with the rest again.

We headed to Holiday Plaza next to enquire about the Skoda Owners Group stickers, but unfortunately, they couldn’t be made as the boss claimed that the wordings were too small

Audrey went for a manicure while the rest of us went shopping for movies and games

Next stop was Pelangi Leisure Mall where we bought tickets to watch Jackie Chan’s New Police Story
We went to Genki Sushi for a “quick bite” before the show.

Can you believe it or not? We waited more than an hour for our food to arrive…. simply outrageous

Well, anyway the movie was quite good… typical action packed stuff from Jackie Chan fused with comedy. Best of all, it was in Cantonese!

After the movie, we decided to head back to Singapore. But had to wait around as Angela and Kelly had to buy some stuff from Giant Supermarket. The pair emerged out saying the guard didn’t let them in due to the guard saying their bags were too big and had to be left at the counter. So Zhihui and Zhishen went in instead while the rest of us waited outside.

After some time, Kelly and Angela told us that their hubbies had sms them to tell them that they were already at the car park waiting for us… DUH! … So we headed towards our cars…

As we were approaching our rides, there was no sight of them… I them caught them hiding at the back of my car, so I shouted out “What are you guys doing? Trying to dismantle my number plate?” …. I then walked around to the back of the car and HEY!!! Zhihui was trying to light a candle on birthday cake at the back of the car

What a surprise! They then started singing a Happy Birthday song and asked me to make a wish . Zhishen commented that they had actually wanted to take a photo of the cake first with their camera phones… I then told them my digital camera was in the boot! So I whipped it out and we took some pics before Zhishen got someone to take a photo for all of us

Had the cake cut up and we …erm… had a birthday celebration at the car park . I had some problem trying to finish up the remainder of the cake, Zhishen came up to me and I thought he would help me finish it… instead, he grabbed me… that’s when I tried to make a run for it…next thing I know … I had cake on my face

Well, that about it anyway, before we headed back to Singapore (after a long jam at the causeway).

Good to know that I have such great friends around … really made my day. It’s been a long time since I had so much fun with all of you together. Thanks alot guys!
