The couple were there to test drive the Honda Stream as they were thinking of changing to an MPV.

I just went along for the ride as usual. Didn’t test drive though, didn’t want to be addicted and then go home and keep thinking about changing cars :-s

We headed to nearby ABC Market for lunch. Ate at this Hainanese Curry rice stall recommended by John.

Didn’t bring my camera, so used my mobile phone camera instead. Lousy results. Anyway hope the meal doesn’t look disgusting to you lol :P

The food was pretty good. Auntie serving was very friendly as well. Will bring Aly here to try one day :)

Some deep fried prawns… was afraid Aly had nothing to eat… so added this at the last minute… only to forget that it’s fried! :-s Oh well :P

Lunch was filling… good… and cheap ;)

and we drowned the meal with some good old oolong tea :)

So we decided to have curry rice for lunch =P~

Kong Bah!!! Meat!!! Yummy!!! Not too salty… nice!

I always wondered why they called this pork chop… where’s the pork?! :P
Crispy though… and no floury texture overdosage :P

Cabbage… a must have for Aly ;)

Lots of curry gravy… and not too spicy as well :)

A nice hearty meal at cheap cheap cheap price!!!
Won’t let you know how cheap (‘cos I forgot lol)

I love hainanese curry rice… usually getting my fix at the Tiong Bahru and Redhill food centres …
Little did I know that just diagonally across the Tiong Bahru food centre was another place that has been serving up yummy hainanese curry rice for years #-o

Who could blame us? The place is only opened till lunch :P
Don’t say I didn’t mention this ;)
Anyway Aly and I decided to wake early today and check it out (:|

I joined this long queue of people and Aly went to scout what food they had before running back to tell me what she wanted…. damn… the things she wanted weren’t the things I wanted … was in a fix… didn’t know what to order as I was afraid of ending up with too many dishes for just the both of us :P

and…. this is what we ended up with … :D :D :D

Sweet and sour pork (Aly’s choice)

Kong bah (Pork Belly – Guess whose choice this was – Not too difficult to guess :P )

Pork chop! :P (cutlet actually :P ) Our choice :P

Spinach with mushrooms (Aly’s choice)

Cabbage … our choice :P

Verdict…. ah mao like!!! ah mew no like!!! :P

Why? Not that she really didn’t like it… just that the curry gravy was a tad too spicy for her …

The food was pretty good actually… loved the pork chops … pork belly was a little too oily… but then again… after mixing the gravy with curry and all… it didn’t matter … heck… that’s how you’re suppose to eat it no? :D

I wish I could’ve ordered more dishes though… :P
