As we were leaving Tampines Mall, spotted a Mitsubishi Galant with a set of aftermarket lights I’ve never seen before (on a Galant) …. Interesting… I think it would’ve looked better if the car was black

Good Friday! heh… erm… didn’t go to church What did I do instead?

Met up with Zhihui and Kelly and then went to fetch Aly. Had lunch at Tiong Bahru plaza before heading off for a day of TEST DRIVES!!!

First Stop: Cycle and Carriage (Leng Kee)
Cars tested by Zhihui: Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6CVT(A)
Cars tested by me: Mitsubishi Galant VR 2.0GDI (A), Mitsubishi Airtrek 2.0(A)

Verdict:
Zhihui seems to be sold and bent on buying the Lancer
I tested the Galant first. Car was pretty good. Powerful (as compared to my present ride – of cos lar!) and the handlng was quite ok. Suspension was too high and soft for my liking though…. a change of shocks and springs would do the trick!
Tested the Airtrek next. Was VERY VERY comfortable I say! The car’s quite neat overall. Don’t mind getting it (especially the turbocharged variant! :P

2nd Stop KAH Motors (Leng Kee)
Cars tested by Zhihui: Honda Jazz1.3L(A), Honda Civic 1.6(A)
Cars tested by me: Honda Stream 1.7L (A)

Verdict:
Zhihui didn’t like the Jazz at all. As for the Civic, he felt that the car was powerful, but was concerned with the thin metals of the car
Was given a choice between test driving the 1.7L or the 2.0L. Chose the 1.7L cos I felt that if the 1.7L had enough power, there wouldn’t be a need to test drive the 2.0L version right?
I was amazed at the power of the Stream, despite only test driving the 1.7L and not the 2.0L version. The big thing actually could run! wow….. its amazing…the ride was pretty good and the suspension was pretty good as well. The only thing I didn’t like about the stream was the handbrake which seemed to be sitautated too low below/between the 2 fronts seats

3rd Stop Champion Motors (West Coast Highway)
Cars tested by Zhihui: Suzuki Liana Sedan 1.6(A)
Cars tested by me: None

Verdict:
Sat in the back of cos…hahaha…and the car had absolutely no power at all!!!
Overall, the car had pretty good build quality – Seriously! Too bad about the power. Strictly only for the “family mum” hahaha….

4th and final stop West Coast Used Car mart (West Coast Highway)
Cars tested: None

Verdict:
Basically… totally disappointing. The place was a dead town. Little cars, nothing much to look at.

Went for dinner at Fong Seng Nasi Lemak, met Zhishen and Angela there before heading back to Zhihui’s place for mahjong

I’ve never test driven so many cars in one day before heh….
Total number of different cars driven in a day (including my own) is 4.
Total number of different cars sat in in a day (including my own) is 8!

Mahjong was so so lar… Getting worse at the game.. lost $17 bucks total
Went for supper at Bukit Timah …prata….hahaha…totally stuffed after that…
Headed home after that and called it a day/nite heh

and that was how I spent GOOD FRIDAY! hahahaa…. (my sis wouldnt be pleased)
