The biggest mall in Singapore opened it’s doors to the public last Saturday … Aly and I suspected that it would’ve been like what Marina Square was previously … half opened ![]()
Besides, I read from the newspapers that the official opening is sometime in December anyway ![]()
Aly wanted to go down today however as she discovered from some websites that there were opening specials for several shops and today was the last day for the discounts ![]()
Made our way down, managed to locate the one of the car park entrances and I parked at the first empty lot available (damn kiasu lol
)

Big open space! Thankfully it’s a Monday, saw from the papers that the place was packed with people on Saturday ![]()

One of the few directories around the place … we need more of these things everywhere! ![]()

Tangs first branch after donkey years

Read reports that people got lost in this place…
Come on! It’s big but not THAT big! …. Walked around abit and sorta familiarised myself with the place … it wasn’t too difficult to navigate around ![]()

Couple of plastic seats for the tired shoppers ![]()

Pull and Bear … new fashion outlet … by RSH
Bought a tee for $25 here ![]()

Does this place look familiar to you? Cruise ships used to dock here, just opposite Sentosa … and many young couples would sit by the docks …. ![]()

I can foresee many lovebirds coming here lol ![]()

GAP finally making it’s way to our shores … Not opened yet though …

nichii Fashion City … new fashion retailer as well …

Lots of shops are still not opened yet, with some spaces not even renovated yet ..
We soon got hungry … But to our horror, there were only 2 restaurants that were opened … Sushi Tei and Aji …
Everything else like the 2 food courts, Burger King, etc. have yet to open for business. Carl’s Jr. looks a little promising though, perhaps it’ll be opened this weekend as they were setting up the chairs and stuff and looked pretty much ready.

Crystal Jade Dining In would only be opened on the 12th Oct as above ![]()
Aside from that, Gloria Jeans, Coffee Bean and Pacific Coffee have opened for business too … But what’s with all the coffee joints?
Of the 3, I think Pacific Coffee has the best location as it’s next to the docks with an al fresco setup which would appeal to people who would like to sip coffee and get some salty wind in their face ![]()
Golden Village has been opened for business since Saturday … with 15 screens, the largest in Singapore ![]()
For Geofrey the giraffe lovers, Toys R’ Us is opened for business as well ![]()
We took a walk inside Best Denki as well… and I realised something, if you’re looking to purchase a television set, there are only plasma and lcd ones for sale …
Being forced to move on in technology? ![]()
Well… that’s it … The place would definitely be more lively this weekend with more shops open I guess, but if you’re looking to munch something there, do be prepared to walk over to Harbourfront as the food courts and other eateries might not be opened just yet ![]()
The place does look really promising though, kinda reminds me of Harbour City in Hong Kong and perhaps the mega malls in JB and Thailand as well…. It looks set to be a one stop shopping therapy for shopoholics with a mix of everything minus branded fashion names… A more family and tourist one stop mall ![]()
Now … if only they had more stuff for guys ….
What do guys want anyway? ![]()
ahMao in goldfish bowl aka Singapore, a mao who wishes he was in Hong Kong instead, the food that ahMao eats with his ahMew aka LeMew/Kitty and the boring stuff they do when they are.... bored .... what else?
